Afinni John Ope A.K.A Finni Beatz

Can you tell us your educational background.

Attended Government College Ibadan (GCI).

Graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University studied Mass Communication

What / who inspired you into Music production

My mum and Samklef

When I was very much younger I use to sit beside my mum listening to music and watch her sing along.

Samklef Whenever I wake up at the middle of the night I see him play the keyboard and sing then he was singing a gospel song then we get to gist and fight sometimes heheheheh it was all cool memories together actually

What year did you start production

Officially 2012

Before then I’ve been backstage working with Bros Eddy, Gbenga Adenuga and Babatunde Ogunshinde

Presently who do you look up to in the music industry as a whole. Regarding producers

Lots actually.

I love Timbaland’s work, i love mike wills’ Don jazzy, Sarz and Mastercraft. Just to mention a few.

They are so brilliant and their productions are always mind blowing

If you were given a chance to collaborate with any other Producer/artist who will you go for and why

I’d love to work with Wizkid, Olamide, Sarz, Davido, kiddominant, falz.

They’ve got great energy and forsight

What is the biggest problem you’ve ever encountered in the industry

I don’t see them as problem actually anything that happens I see it as a stepping stone to success. I love a challenge.

What do you enjoy the most being a Producer.

Joy of creating Hitsounds. Its insanely divine.

I see creating music as a expression.

Rumor has it that you featured Olawale of project Fame in a yet to be released single (SELF’LOVE)

Yes it is true we have an amazing song as stated above. SelfLove

How is working with him like.

Olawale is one of the best and amazing talents I’ve worked with in time past Super amazing,his vocal chords are heavenly

Have you ever worked with other producers/Artists, how will you describe the experience.

Seyi Shay, Mr Real, Mz kiss, Dj ice cream, Been Rich Dixon, Eyes, Irv, Olawale to mention but few. Its been rewarding and educatin. Ive learnt and picked up on a lot of things along the way.

What do you have in stock for ur fans in the next coming months.

working on my EP. Its going to be outstanding.

If you were asked to pick two of your favourite productions which ones would you choose?

Self Love by me and Upnepa by Dj ice cream. Those two projects are the most expensive and lot of sleepless nights with my team and I

Stay True,stay humble and keep winning

How did you get so good at music productions?

I had help.

I had some guidance and lessons from some music gurus. Dr Edwards Sunday, Kayode Adenuga to mention a few. I learnt a great dral from these guys. I still am. Constant practice and continuous learning has also helped.

Whats is your favourite music instrument and why.

Drums,

Because I’ve always loved it. Its a talent that runs in the family. I like the piano too but i still prefer the drumet

One thing you will love to change in the music industry if given the chance.

Nothing actually, Fela anikulapo Kuti has laid a very good example in Afro music. Music unites and should not be resticted.

If is not Music Production Career, what will you be doing now.

Still a Business man that I am or a Doctor because that has always been my grandma wish.

Tell us the story behind your stage name.

My Stage name Finni was coined out of my surname Afinni.

Have you ever seen anybody as a threat or a strong competition in the industry.

No It’s a zero competition for me. I see every opportunity to work with people as an avenue to learn.

Are you married or in a relationship

No presently, but i hope in the future i would
